I was born in Menominee county and raised in Wallace, MI. A very small town of 1,273 residents. I graduated Stephenson High School in 2013 in the top ten of my class. From there, I spent a semester at Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI, pursuing my dream of becoming a surgical technologist. I quickly realized that the extreme cold and record snowfalls were not for me, and I transferred to Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay, Wi to continue my dream. It was then I learned that surgical technology was not my dream after all. I changed my major to Business Management. I graduated from NWTC in 2018 with my associate of applied science degree.
While trying to find my “forever” job, I worked at the local grocery store in my hometown of Wallace, Gary’s Quality Foods for 4 years and then went on to Krist Oil for an additional 3 years. While working at Krist Oil, I applied at State Farm, never imagining that I would ever work in insurance, but it was something new and challenging and I was indeed looking for exactly that. Joining Katey’s team, I was ready to learn and grow with my team members. I love the fact that we all started out as a brand-new team that could grow and learn new things together and no one would ever feel like they were left out because they didn’t know as much as another.
My hobbies include spending time with my Australian Shepherd, Watson, shopping trips with my friend Chelsea, and enjoying a good girl’s night with my friend and coworker, Lily. I love to read and write in my spare time, which isn’t much with a puppy! I also enjoy bonfires, camping, and a good mix of country, pop, and rock-n-roll music.
My favorite part of this business is seeing the smiles on customers faces when we are able to give them the comfort and satisfaction they deserve when it comes to spending their hard-earned money. My most cherished memory is saving a widowed customer hundreds of dollars on her insurance, hearing her thank me repeatedly while in tears, telling me she can now take that extra money and buy herself something nice, get more groceries, and still have enough to do something fun every month. Stories like this are what make the frustrating days better and what keep me going!
My team members and I strive to provide exceptional customer service, a positive and supportive environment for customers, and a bond that can last a lifetime. We want you to feel like you are at home when you visit us, not just giving us your money. Your business is and will always be cherished.
